In this video, I'll be showing you one of my favorite concoctions: Raw-Milk Hot Chocolate. Don't worry though. Healthy hot chocolate does not equal "taste free"!
Follow along with this lovely recipe, and you'll soon be in hot chocolate heaven!
Ingredients:
-
¾ of a mug raw milk (leave ¼ of mug empty at top)
-
1 heaping teaspoon organic cocoa powder
-
1 small packet Stevia, (may use more or less according to your taste)
-
Small splash water
-
1 drop natural pure extract, such as peppermint, vanilla, almond, hazelnut (optional)
Preparation:
-
Fill mug ¾ full with raw milk, then pour milk from mug into saucepan.Place saucepan on stove over medium heat.
-
Heat milk 3 to 4 minutes at most, to pleasant, drinking temperature. More time needed for multiple servings. Do not boil.
-
In emptied mug, place 1 heaping tsp organic cocoa powder and 1 packet Stevia (or to taste). Stir in just enough water to make a paste of cocoa and Stevia. Blend well, using tiny, electric hand whizzer, or small manual whisk.
-
Add heated milk to cocoa mixture in mug, stir well. May add a drop of flavoring at this point (organic peppermint extract in this case). Mix well. Serve as is or top with fresh-whipped, raw cream mixed with a dash of Stevia.
There you have it! A perfect cup of heavenly hot chocolate! Cheers!
