The Chinese peasants have been using 'night soil' for multiple millennia.

Uric acids, urea, and well as bird guano (phosphates and nitrates) were widely used prior to the chemical revolution and conversion to synthetic chemistry prior to the 1930's globally.

Perhaps our good Doc Guessa can fill us each in on some other better for your crop fertilizer options also?

I believe there is an unlimited supply of such product in the District Of Columbia, on Capital Hill, as well as limitless Methane and S02 for fuel conversion.

Surely it's only organic if the urinators aren't taking synthetic pharma drugs?

This article reminds me of the movie "The World's Fastest Indian" where the Lemon tree was fertilized in this manner.

Might also try the brand Milorganite fertilizer.  It is also made from human you know what part of sewage. Bonemeal is good too.

Okay, I am the mom that told her young boys don't pee in the pool and they thought it meant use the tree instead.  So does this mean I can tell the nosey neighbor we were fertilizing the tree??  LOL  It is better than what they said when I told them not to.  Well, Kang, our dog, does it.  {:-o

I am the only mom here to experience this, right?  Interesting article though but I did have to laugh at the image.

Ber - I live rurally and a lot of the male population go outside to pee on trees, even when they're sitting in the house, ten feet from a bathroom.
For one thing it keeps the critters out of your yard and towards the end of summer many people have severe water shortages. Also I think they just plain like to.
