A recent study looked at the problem of low-dose aspirin-induced small bowel mucosal damage and blood flow.
For the research, ten healthy volunteers were given low-dose aspirin. Capsule endoscopy and contrast-enhanced ultrasonography were performed both before and after administration of drugs.
According to the study, as reported by Green Med Info:
“Short-term administration of low-dose aspirin is associated with small bowel injuries and blood flow.”
