Cell Phones on Planes

My favorite airline, American, has wisely decided to allow passengers to use their cell phones as long as the plane is on the ground. No more ridiculous restrictions of shutting the phone off as soon as you leave the gate or waiting until you reach the gate after the plane lands. This is especially infuriating when one arrives early and the gate isn't yet availalbe as seems to be the case nearly 50 percent of the time I arrive in Chicago. My hat's off to Amercian for a wise policy...
