Robot Doctors Winning Big

Dr. Robot has visited 20 patients at Johns Hopkins, the most prestigious U.S. hospital. Generally, the robot has been used only to check up on patients between normally scheduled visits with a physician.

Interestingly, the vast majority of patients have reported that they think interacting with robotic caregivers is far more amusing and interesting than chatting with standard-issue, flesh-and-blood medical personnel.

However, doctors need not worry, it will be quite some time before robots replace medical doctors. Although for some traditional medical doctors, the replacement should have occurred some time ago.
