Low-Carb Stores Becoming More Common

It is encouraging to see that more than 200 stores in the United States now specialize in low-carb foods. USA Today estimates that up to 30 million Americans are ignoring traditional medical advice and following the low-carb program. However, it is still clear that the majority of these people are, like the late Dr. Atkins, relatively clueless about the distinction between grains and vegetables as carbohydrate sources and the need to individualize carbs for people according to nutritional type, as some may need a No-Grain Diet--a "high"-carb program that is two-thirds carbs as vegetables--if they are to lose weight.
