Why We Smell Things Differently

Our ability to smell and taste is regulated by around 1,000 genes, over half of which are totally inactive. Researchers showed that nearly every human being displays a different pattern of active and inactive odor-detecting receptors. Dr. Bruce Lipton is one of the leading cellular biologists, and he is fond of describing how it is not the genes we have that make a difference, but the expression of these genes.
