C-Section May Increase Risk for Food Allergy

Some infants who are delivered by cesarean section may have an increased risk of developing food allergies by delaying the colonization of the newborn intestine. This is particularly troublesome because the C-section rate continues to increase, and one-quarter of all births are now by C-section.
