New Sony Robot Dog

The third generation of the robot dog Aibo features better image-recognition functions and an improved body mechanism allowing it to move more fluidly. It features a faster CPU, a higher resolution camera and twice as much memory as its predecessors. AIBO owners will be able to enjoy interacting with a more fluid autonomous robot dog via voice and tactile touch sensors, along with the ability to remotely access the robot and retrieve digital images on their PC via e-mail commands or an Internet browser (PC Wi-Fi connection required). The mechanical pet will cost $1,600 and be available in two months. Sure is a lot easier to take care of than a real dog, and you don?t have to resolve the inevitable dealing-with-death issue.
