Tragically, soybeans are eating up larger and larger chunks of the Amazon, leading to a 40 percent jump in deforestation last year, to nearly 25,900 square kilometers. It's bad enough to ruin the rain forest but to ruin it for a crop that does not promote health is foolish and shortsighted beyond belief.
