A survey of the eating habits of 3,000 youngsters aged four to 24 months found their diets were surprisingly similar to that of older children--heavy on soft drinks, sweet candy, and other junk foods, and light on vegetables and fruits. But you want to know what really knocked my socks off? You have to be living under a rock if you didn't know that vegetables were good for you. Well, we read headlines that people are consuming more vegetables. The key here is what excatly are they defining as vegetables?
I suspect you will be as shocked as I was to learn that french fries are actually classified as vegetables. French fries are, in fact, the most popular vegetable eaten by children 19 to 24 months old. This is absolutely amazing in they they are one of the most toxic foods known to man. Equally as surprising is that french fries make up one-third of teens' vegetable intake.
