Inexpensive Flat Panel TVs Coming This Year

As I posted in last month's newsletter, Intel formally announced its entry into the flat panel TV market at this week's consumer electornics show (CES). Intel is the world's largest chip maker and will introduce new liquid-crystal-on-silicon (LCOS) chips that would yield displays priced well below $2,000 and provide crisper images than rival technologies. Intel?s entry into consumer electronics reinforces the convergence of the PC and home entertainment systems.
