It is beyond reprehensible that the U.S. government is putting the interests of powerful American sugar barons ahead of the global fight against obesity. Last week I posted in the blog that the British Medical Journal reports that the U.S. government has rejected a link between junk food and obesity in a confidential letter to the director general of the World Health Organization (WHO).
