The New York Times magazine this morning has a very long detailed description of the circumstances that led to the reprehensible behavior of abusing Iraqi prisoners of war. Few of the 1,000 reservists of the 320th had been trained for supervision, and fewer still knew how to run a prison. New York Times May 9, 2004
