Inexpensive Compact Flash Cards

Recently a 12-gigabyte compact flash became available for the price of a good used car, nearly $15,000. It sure would be nice to have all that storage for the new digital cameras or PDAs. However, there are far better options. Creative Labs has their Nomad MuVo, which is 4-GB MP3 player. You could purchase three and remove the Hitachi 4-GB microdrives to get the same amount of CompactFlash storage for only $750. You might only want to purchase one and it is a fantastic bargain as if you were to purchase the drives alone it would be $400 each.

The link below has many detailed pictures that make removing the drives easier than putting together a piece of furniture from IKEA.
