Consumers can take old computers and other electronics to Office Depot stores for free recycling this summer. H-P already offers PC recycling via mail. But it charges about $35 for shipping and processing. Most of its rivals charge as well. That's why the free offer from Office Depot is so great. From July 18 to September 6, Office Depot will accept computers, monitors and most other peripherals, digital cameras, copiers, fax machines, cell phones, personal digital assistants (PDAs) and TVs 27 inches or smaller. Customers can recycle one product per day. I strongly encourage you to take responsibility for your old PCs and take them in to be recycled. Old PCs piling up in landfills present a large burden on the environment and create the potential for widespread environmental pollution. So take advantage of Office Depot's generous offer and recycly your old computers and electroncis. It is the responsible thing to do and now it is free.
