DNA Discoverer Francis Crick Dies

Francis Crick, who helped discover the double helix shape of DNA along with James Watson, has died at the age of 88. Sure doesn't seem that long ago when I read his research assistant, James Watson's book, The Double Helix: A Personal Account of the Discovery of the Structure of DNA for the first time in the early 70s.

Time sure flys. While the discovery of the structure of DNA was an awesome event, I really feel that genetics has been given far too much emphasis in disease management. While the genes are the ultimate expression for many diseases, the actual expression of genes is really the key to health. And the primary control mechanism for gene expression is our emotions.
