Vitamin D May Help Diabetes Mellitus―Study

A study published in Diabetes Care suggests that taking vitamin D supplements may help prevent type 2 diabetes mellitus in people at risk for the disease. While the study is only an observational one, scientists said participants followed for just under 3 years and who had the highest vitamin D levels were 30 percent less likely to develop diabetes.
