Bananas Could be Extinct in Five Years

Plant pathologist Ioannis Stergiopoulos has said that a disease compound made of three fungal diseases could wipe out the banana people most commonly eat in as little as five to 10 years. The interview, which was recently covered by, gives a grim outlook for Cavendish bananas.
