Ashwagandha Improves Athletic Endurance and Muscle Strength

Ashwagandha has long been a staple of Indian Ayurvedic medicine. The lengthy list of benefits it provides continues to grow as new research in the Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition shows.

In this study, one group of participants received 300mg of ashwagandha twice daily and the other a placebo. After only eight weeks, the ashwagandha group experienced significantly better results.

At the end of the study the ashwagandha group was stronger and had suffered fewer injuries. Their endurance was boosted and their testosterone levels were significantly increased. These results coincide with previous studies that show ashwagandha can boost stamina, endurance and sexual energy.
