Cancer Drugs Fund ‘Huge Waste of Money’

A British cancer fund was found to be a “huge waste of money” that not only wasn’t beneficial to most patients, but actually caused patients “to suffer unnecessarily from the side effects,” BBC.com reports. Nearly 100,000 patients were in the study; only 1 in 5 of the treatments was found to be beneficial.

This sad tale is just another chapter in the way the pharmaceutical market runs the cancer industry. Costly drugs with innumerable side effects mean nothing but extra dollars to their bottom line. Unfortunately, this story is repeated across the Western world. Meanwhile, oncologists in Turkey who aren’t under the same U.S. restrictions, are using a stacked ketogenic treatment protocol that is showing shocking remissions in many stage 4 cancer patients.

Stage 4 pancreatic cancer patients have a life expectancy of six months. Yet metabolically supported chemotherapy was able to induce complete remission even in patients with this advanced stage disease! Nutritional ketosis is a powerful intervention, and has been shown to work with numerous cancers, alone and in conjunction with traditional cancer treatments.

One reason nutritional ketosis works is that it addresses mitochondrial dysfunction, boosting mitochondrial function and effectively driving down inflammation. This is called the metabolic theory of cancer — and it focuses on burning fat for fuel, something cancer cells simply cannot do. We're now starting to realize that mitochondrial dysfunction is at the core of virtually all diseases, and support for nutritional ketosis is growing by leaps and bounds, as conventional medicine has little to offer outside the standard “cut, poison, burn” approach.
