Five Michigan Officials Charged With Manslaughter in Flint Water Crisis

The water crisis in Flint dates back at least three years but the legal fallout is only just beginning.  Reuters reports that five officials are being charged with manslaughter for their role in a Legionnaires’ disease outbreak that claimed at least 12 lives in 2014. The state’s medical executive has been charged with lying to police and obstruction of justice.

The Flint crisis unmasked an unpleasant truth. The “potable” water provided by many municipalities is something you should never drink. The scandal also revealed contaminated drinking water to be a nationwide and systemic problem. A lifetime of health damage was done to the residents of Flint and it is important that residents of this beleaguered city are not forgotten.

The water crisis in Flint raises serious questions about what is in the drinking water, and what dangerous contaminants that end up inadvertently in the water supply can at least be addressed. The more troubling issue is that a potent and harmful pharmaceutical drug is intentionally added to our tap water.

Fluoride is an endocrine-disrupting, neurotoxic and bone-weakening substance that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) defines as a drug when used to prevent disease, because unlike the minerals we need (e.g. calcium), humans have no known physiological requirement for fluoride.

Due to fluoride's extreme toxicity, you cannot purchase fluoride "supplements" over-the-counter. They can only be dispensed by prescription under the supervision of a doctor. In short, sodium fluoride should not be viewed as a beneficial additive but as a prescription drug, and a dangerous one.

Filtering your household water is no longer optional. Water pollution is a significant problem. Your drinking water may be contaminated with gender-bending pharmaceutical drugs, agricultural runoff, industrial waste and heavy metals released by deteriorating infrastructure. There is also the issue of the toxic chemicals used during water treatment.

The obvious solution is to filter all the water that comes into the house, and then filtering it again at the kitchen sink and shower. An even more healthful solution is to consume living water. Energized water can recharge your mitochondria, and deep springs are one excellent source. You can also promote structured water through vortexing or cooling it to 39 degrees Fahrenheit. Reverting tap water back into a vitality boosting element can provide enormous health benefits.

The only real solution is to stop the archaic practice of water fluoridation in the first place. Fortunately, the Fluoride Action Network (FAN) has a game plan to END water fluoridation worldwide and this week is Fluoride Awareness Week (June 11 to 18).  Clean pure water is a prerequisite to optimal health. Industrial chemicals, drugs and other toxic additives really have no place in our water supplies. So, please, protect your drinking water and support the fluoride-free movement by making a tax-deductible donation to the Fluoride Action Network today.
