People With Higher IQs Are More Likely to Live to Their 80s

The Telegraph reports that intelligent people are less likely to die before the age of 79. Researchers discovered this when analyzing a Scottish study from 1947. That was the year the Scottish Mental Survey was conducted on all Scottish children born in the year 1936. Scotland remains the only country that has ever tested the intelligence of an entire age cohort from a single calendar year. 

Researchers at Edinburgh University, Oxford and University College London found that the children who scored better on the 1947 IQ test were more likely to embrace a number of lifestyle choices that can add up to a longer life. They were less likely to smoke, more likely to exercise, address medical concerns and even wear seatbelts. As a result, they were more likely to live beyond age 79 and they were less likely to die from injury, stroke or chronic disease. 

It is important to realize that IQ does not equate to health destiny. The widespread availability of leading edge natural health information is a game changer and is shattering an outmoded health paradigm which failed to impart accurate health information to vast swathes of the population.  

One day soon we can consign disparate health outcomes linked to IQ scores to the dustbin of history. It is worth noting that a member of the study cohort would not have had free access to the sort of natural health information you find on this website until they were nearly 60 years old. Someone born in 1936 would have lived through the misinformation campaigns that targeted healthy fats and countless other examples of erroneous health information being presented as settled science.
