If you just can’t seem to get yourself motivated enough to start or continue a regular workout program, Muscle Roast offers up some scientific ways to get your mind set to get up and get going. Surprisingly, the first key is to let loose of all the misconceptions you have about what it takes to get on the motivation track.
For example, you need to understand that results don’t happen in a day (or a week, for that matter). Plus, getting fit isn’t just about working out; your diet is every bit as important as the physical part. The bottom line is it’s important to concentrate on small wins and methodically work your way to fitness and health, both physically and mentally.
I know that one of the basic roadblocks to getting into a fitness program is simply taking that first step. That’s why my first advice is always to make up your mind to sit less, stand more and, from there, start moving. If you have a sedentary job, you can still do this by elevating your computer and standing to work (or, ask your employer if they’ll supply you with a sit-stand desk).
Next, take a 10-minute walk after each meal. From there, you can move into more strenuous movements that can include 10,000 steps a day, or high-intensity interval training (HIIT), which takes only a small portion of time but reaps lots of benefits. Next, you can move on to my favorite, the Nitric Oxide Dump, which can be done anywhere, any time, and takes only a few minutes to complete.
Finally, it’s vitally important to couple this with a nutritious diet that involves training your body to use fat for fuel. This strategy, which utilizes a ketogenic diet, not only can prevent or even reverse insulin resistance and Type 2 diabetes, but can have a dramatic impact on your weight, finally allowing you to shed unwanted pounds as your body begins to burn fat for fuel.
