People are dying, some cities’ mortuaries are overflowing and, worldwide, some of the darkest times in medical history are holding citizens hostage in their own homes as coronavirus ravages their lives.
These are devastating times, but medical officials hint that there may be a spring of hope on the horizon. “On Sunday, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo reported a drop in the daily number of reported deaths for the first time in days. He also said ICU admissions and daily intubations were down and the hospital discharge rate was ‘way up.’”[i]
Another glimmer of hope lies in the creative ways that people have found to continue their worship services, for example, by “attending” them online through streaming services.
