This year’s census is facing a number of challenges and roadblocks, with officials pointing the blame at the coronavirus.
The U.S. Census Bureau has suspended field operations until April 15 because of it, which will affect counting the homeless and others with unconventional addresses or living situations. They also are seeking out younger people to work in field operations, rather than the typically older workers, who are more at risk of the virus.
