FarmMatch.com founder Max Kane is questioning why farmers markets are not allowed to operate in Wisconsin and many other places across the U.S. Why are they not considered essential businesses like regular grocery stores?
Aside from losing $60 million a month in business, small farmers are unfairly and unreasonably being prevented from selling their wares and feeding America through the local growers’ markets. This is outrageous when America is going through a national food crisis — what’s worse is that the crisis is man-made: The plants and animals continue to grow, but there is no way to get to consumers with the markets shut down.
