Brazil’s interim health minister is issuing new guidelines recommending the use of hydroxychloroquine to treat COVID-19 cases in Brazil. In an interview, Brazil President Jair Bolsonaro said he would sign on to the new guidelines, noting that he keeps a supply of the drug on hand in case his 93-year-old mother needs it.
Brazil has the third-highest number of cases, behind Russia and the United States.
