Singapore Plans Wearable Virus-Tracing Device for All

A “wearable” device that can be hung on a lanyard or carried in a handbag will soon be tracking every single Singapore citizen. The device will enable health officials to identify anyone who has come in contact with someone with coronavirus.

An earlier Apple app failed to work properly, and officials said they have no plans to adopt either Apple’s or Google’s contact-tracing technology in the future.
