One-third of all Americans are struggling with anxiety or depression, and the coronavirus is to blame for the sudden spike in mental health issues, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.
People with less education and in the 18-to-29 age group had higher rates of anxiety and depression while Hispanic and black adults — who have been hit the hardest by the coronavirus — also showed higher rates of depression than Asian or white communities that were surveyed.
