Twitter Deletes 170,000 Accounts Tied to Chinese Government

More than 170,000 Chinese Twitter accounts pushing what Twitter called “deceptive narratives” on a variety of topics, including COVID-19, have been shut down. “Twitter's takedown is the latest development in Silicon Valley's attempt to thwart governments using social media platforms to push narratives in their favor,” CNN said.
