Coronavirus Antibodies May Last Only Three Months

A Chinese study shows that a vaccine for SARS-CoV-2 may not prove to be helpful in fighting the infection because there isn’t evidence to indicate that the antibodies last more than two or three months. Researchers said that, while antibodies against the virus are produced, “within eight weeks, antibodies plummeted to undetectable levels in 40% of asymptomatic people compared with 12.9% of symptomatic people.”  SOURCE: International Business Times June 19, 2020
