A top Italian doctor says the coronavirus is not the “tiger” it was, and that it may actually be dying out on its own — without a vaccine and possibly disappearing before a vaccine even appears.

Professor Matteo Bassetti says the weakening virus may be due to genetic mutations, even though other scientists claim there is no evidence for that.
