FDA Adds 46 Sanitizers to List of ‘Toxic’ Products Positive for Methanol

The FDA has added 46 sanitizers to its list of products that it deems unsafe for everyday use because of their methanol content. Exposure to the substance can cause nausea, vomiting, headache, blurred vision, permanent blindness, seizures, coma, permanent damage to the nervous system or death, the FDA said in a bulletin they issued July 2, 2020.
