In the wake of the pandemic, people around the world are
trying to boost their immune systems. One way they’re doing that is to
supplement with vitamin D, an inexpensive supplement that can benefit both
children and adults.
In the world markets, reports show burgeoning vitamin D
sales that are predicted to reach $1.3 billion by 2025. Market officials say
the sales are boosted in part by the fact that 1 in 2 Americans has a
musculoskeletal condition that costs $213 billion a year in medical costs and
wage losses.
Bayer AG and Abbott Nutrition are two major drug companies
expanding in the U.S. to meet the demand.
