A slightly revised version of COVID-19 contact tracing apps
is being introduced in England after the first ones generated poor success
rates in tracking capabilities. In essence, there was a lack of compatibility
between devices that caused people to quarantine unnecessarily.
The new apps won’t share personal data, according to the
National Health Service, which had been fielding privacy questions about its
method for collecting data. The new app works with Apple and Google and use decentralized
models that reportedly are more secure.
