There are two major types of tests for coronavirus — virus testing to see if you have the disease and serology testing to test for antibodies which would show you had COVID-19 in the past. Scientists are working on perfecting an at-home virus test, similar to over-the-counter pregnancy tests, that would produce results within minutes in the privacy of your home.
