Scientists have discovered that when you’re involved in an engaging task — such as watching an interesting TV show or movie, playing video games or even working a crossword puzzle — you are more likely to mindlessly consume extra food and drinks and not notice when you are full.

Feeling full could be affected by the texture and appearance of food, but this study shows that feeling full also depends on how much sensory information your brain is processing at the time — the less information your brain is processing, the less you will probably eat.
