The NFL asked for a retest of 77 COVID-19 tests that came
back positive from 11 teams, and found that all 77 were false positives.
All the tests came from a single lab in New Jersey; the NFL
uses a total of five labs that service the 32 teams. "Clubs are taking
immediate precautionary measures as outlined in the NFL-NFLPA's health and
safety protocols to include contact tracing, isolation of individuals and
temporarily adjusting the schedule, where appropriate," the NFL said in a
statement. "The other laboratories used for NFL testing have not had
similar results."
