BrainPop is an online teaching accessory that school systems and teachers use to teach students about world affairs and a variety of subjects, including math, English, social studies and health topics.
Currently in its “Homeroom News” section, Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergies and Infectious Diseases and the face of the coronavirus task force, is featured in a cartoon/video mix. The cartoon section touts Fauci as a leading adviser to every president since Ronald Reagan, and promotes his “successes” with HIV/AIDS, SARS, swine flu and Ebola — without mentioning that he failed every step of the way when it came to getting a vaccine for those diseases.
While Fauci talks about the importance of hand-washing, maintaining physical distance and wearing a face mask in a video, he also promotes children going home and telling their parents they need to wear masks, too, and to stay home and not get out into crowds.
Fauci also tells kids it’s important to do this until a vaccine comes out. “We all should get vaccinated,” Fauci says.
And, the kicker: He also tells kids that “anti-science” thinking (presumably anything that doesn’t agree with what Fauci says or does), is “dangerous.”
