It’s going to take three more years for international travel to recover from the catastrophic damages incurred due to the COVID-19 pandemic, according to The International Air Transport Association (IATA).
So far, global losses in air transportation tally up to $84 billion, with North American carriers alone looking at $24 billion in losses. Airlines are implementing various ways of dealing with the debt, from cutting back on flights to selling off debt and bonds.
In a recent poll, 58% of people who indicated they planned to travel in the upcoming year said they will only go by car.
