Lockdowns and mask mandates are still in force in Victoria, Australia, where no one is supposed to venture out beyond a 5 km (3.1 miles) radius of their homes. October 4, 2020, videos of police arresting violators surfaced, including one of a woman who was charged with venturing beyond her 5 km boundary.
The woman had gone to the beach, where police were scouring the area to enforce social distancing and citing those who weren’t wearing masks. Police issued multiple citations and fines to the pregnant woman, as well as others at the beach, according to ZeroHedge. They doubled down on the enforcement when video of the woman’s arrest went viral.
According to local TV station 7 News, police issued 104 fines that day, including 17 for not wearing a face mask.
