Questioning how a healthy person can give someone else something they don’t even know they have, a group of Oklahoma doctors is suing the city of Tulsa over its mask mandates. Masks are unhealthy in a number of ways, from depriving a person of oxygen to actually cause illnesses, the lawsuit says.
These doctors say they personally know people who not only have had accidents wearing masks, but have patients showing up with facial rashes and fungal and bacterial infections. They also are hearing reports of rising cases of bacterial pneumonias caused by people wearing masks incorrectly and in a nonsterile fashion.
Dr. Jim Meehan, a former medical editor who knows how to read medical literature, says there is “a real paucity” in the science backing mandatory mask-wearing — and even those studies are in hospitals and health care settings where conditions can be fairly well-controlled with an optimal environment for such a study.
“We don’t need lawmakers intruding upon the medical decision-making between a patient and a doctor,” Meehan says in a YouTube video of a press conference the group held, stressing that the decision to wear a mask should be between a patient and their doctor.
