A new Gallup Poll indicates that Americans’ support for a COVID-19 vaccine has dropped 11 percentage points, leaving only 50% who say they are willing to take the vaccine.
On the other hand, those who say they want to delay returning to daily activities until a vaccine is available has gone up to 26%, while 27% are ready to get back to normal right now.
Interestingly, willingness to be vaccinated was different along political party lines, with more Republicans than Democrats willing to take the vaccine. Less than half of women are willing to be vaccinated while, overall, young adults were more willing than older persons to take a vaccine if one were available right now.
