In a passionate essay, Barry Brownstein, Professor Emeritus of economics and leadership at the University of Baltimore, asks why people today, from academics to medical professionals like Dr. Anthony Fauci to the general public, seem bent on “perpetuating the current COVID-19 narrative.”
To dismiss experts’ demands to stop the COVID nonsense is dangerous, Brownstein says — and mindless. It’s a mindlessness that not only dehumanizes us, but aids in taking away our freedoms and puts us on a road to tyranny as we relinquish responsibility for our own destinies. What’s worse, he says, is that schools teach us to be mindless.
The good news is you don’t have to stay mindless. There are ways to become mindful and, thus, regain control of your life. One way to do this is to become familiar with the Great Barrington Declaration, which “demonstrates a willingness to consider new information and broaden the context for setting policy.”
