Why the Year 2020 Could Be Called the ‘Year of Disguises’

The American Institute for Economic Research (AIER) has a new take on what’s been happening during a year that’s been consumed by a pandemic.

Literally steering the course of every facet of your life, SARS-CoV-2 has been called an “apocalypse,” but that’s just a disguise for a hidden agenda that has changed our social, cultural and ideological lives and forced us to comply behind a sea of facemasks, the Institute says.

Other disguises for the year 2020 come in the form of computer techs and modelers disguised as scientists; tyrants/dictators/totalitarians disguises as elected officials; propaganda machines disguised as “new sources;” brainwashing disguised as information; censorship disguised as public health safeguards; and panic and fear disguised as social responsibility.

As 2020 comes to its end, all these disguises have transformed life as we knew it, putting the world in a crisis that has devolved us into a robotic species that wears masks on command and punishes healthy people for being healthy. The end result for Americans, the author of this AIER article says, is that “We have lost the meaning of ‘Land of the Free, Home of the Brave’ to ‘Land of the Imprisoned, Home of the Afraid.’”
