When all is said and done, no matter how many Americans say they will take a COVID-19 vaccine when it’s ready, a good majority of them believe those vaccines should be voluntary. In fact, according to Deutsche Bank, a full two-thirds of Americans are against making the vaccine mandatory.
Deutsche Bank gathered data from YouGov and Gallup polls and compiled a chart on people’s willingness to take the vaccine when it comes out. Even those who said they would line up for the shot still said it should be voluntary — and only 15% said in November they would get the shot the first month it was released, which was the same number that said they would never get it.
Only 25% said they would get a COVID-19 vaccine the first six months after its release. Another chart showed that attitudes across Europe were about the same as in the U.S., with the U.K. being slightly higher in acceptance of the vaccines, ZeroHedge said.
