The president of Venezuela says that an oral extract made from thyme can be used to successfully treat people with COVID.
Even though naysayers from Brigham and Woman’s Hospital in Boston claim its therapeutic use is unsubstantiated and not backed by science, President Nicolas Maduro said “It has gone through a period of nine months of study, experimentation, clinical application. On the sick, on the very sick, on people who have been intubated, and we recovered them.”
Doctors at Venezuela’s National Academy of Medicine stand behind Maduro, saying that even though they still need to conduct more tests, the herb compound “has therapeutic potential against coronavirus.”
