New ‘Health’ Incentive: Free Doughnuts if You Get Vaccinated

In an effort to get as many people as possible to get their COVID-19 vaccine, Krispy Kreme is offering free doughnuts for the rest of 2021 to anyone who comes in with a vaccination card.

Although it’s just one doughnut at a time, a year’s worth can add up to a big bonus for cardholders, especially since no other purchase is necessary. And, to show just how much the company cares about the health of the nation, Krispy Kreme will randomly deliver doughnuts to health care workers and volunteers at vaccination centers.

There’s something in it for Krispy Kreme employees too: up to four hours of paid time off just to go get the shots. Fortune magazine noted that currently these types of freebies are kind of rare, although one Phoenix marijuana dispensary is giving away free edibles to people who show their vaccination cards.
