In her personal blog, Dr. Meryl Nass compiles a list of reasons why recent studies coming out of the University of Washington showing hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) doesn’t work for COVID-19 may have been fixed to favor a negative outcome.
For one, former Microsoft founder Bill Gates has poured lots of money into the university and its Global Health department, along with its Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation. Nass calls the studies done through this entity “corrupted science” — and she gives the reasons why she believes it’s corrupted.
From financial relationships with Gilead (which manufactures HCQ’s competitor, remdesivir) to the fact that the readily available and inexpensive HCQ would wipe away the possibility of tens of billions of dollars in revenue if it were shown to work, to the way patient enrollment was manipulated in the trials, Nass breaks the fix down in this riveting commentary.
